Employment Mentoring and Support (PAPE)
A stepping stone to professional integration
Since 2004, the Parrainage et Accompagnement Pour l’Emploi (Mentoring and Support for Employment) programme, set up by AMSED Strasbourg, has been supporting no fewer than job seekers in difficulty every year, combining professional support and citizen mobilisation. It is part of a strategy to help people return to work, provide skills training and combat exclusion and discrimination.
Objectives of the scheme
Our actions are structured around several areas:
- Offer personalised support for people experiencing difficulties entering the job market.
- Combat unemployment and employment discrimination
- Mobilise a network of volunteer mentors, active or retired professionals who can leverage their knowledge of the job market and their professional network.
- Facilitate a return to employment or training.
- Build bridges with local businesses, particularly in sectors experiencing labour shortages, to facilitate access to or return to employment.

Target groups
- Job seekers aged 30 and over registered with France Travail (MANDATORY eligibility criterion)
- People with few or no qualifications
- Residents of QPVs (Priority Neighbourhoods) in the Eurométropole de Strasbourg
- People facing barriers to professional integration

- Strong partnerships with employers ready to get involved.

Actions taken
