Ampère Digital House: Digital technology within everyone's reach
Facilitating the use of digital technology and paperless services
Since 2018, the Maison Digitale d’Ampère has been working in the heart of the Eurométropole de Strasbourg’s priority neighbourhoods of Cité Ampère and Risler to promote digital inclusion among residents, particularly women.
Our objective
Combat the digital divide by offering local support tailored to people who are least familiar with digital tools and practices in their daily lives, whether they are isolated, living in precarious circumstances, or undergoing integration.
A local response to a global challenge
Through the Maison Digitale d’Ampère, AMSED affirms its commitment to:
- Fair access to digital technology for all
- Accessible digitisation of administrative procedures
- Real equality of opportunity, particularly in the most vulnerable neighbourhoods

Concrete actions to promote digital autonomy
and paperless procedures:
1. Simplified e-administrative procedures
With the support and assistance of a qualified advisor, we provide free access to computer equipment (computers with internet connection) so that you can manage your administrative files independently or with assistance (create an Ameli, CAF or impots.gouv.fr account, download supporting documents, fill in online forms, etc.).

2. Personalised digital training courses
We offer personalised socio-professional support, alternating between theory and practice on essential topics (computer skills, document writing (Word, Open Office), creating and using an e-mail account for social and professional needs, safe Internet browsing, accessing online health services, discovering online administrative procedures, etc.).
3. Online support towards employment
Weekly drop-in sessions are available to help residents search for jobs online, create and update CVs, write cover letters, and use professional platforms (France Travail, Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.).

Human, inclusive and enhanced support
This project is primarily aimed at people in the Ampère-Risler priority neighbourhoods who are vulnerable due to multiple obstacles: language barriers, illiteracy, single parenthood, economic or social insecurity, lack of digital equipment at home, etc.
They are offered individualised support in a caring environment so that they can regain confidence, become more independent and integrate into today’s digital society.

Women at the forefront of digital inclusion
We have noticed that many women, often with few or no qualifications, living alone with their children in disadvantaged neighbourhoods or housing projects, come to the Maison Digitale in the hope of breaking out of isolation, acquiring digital skills and regaining a place in society. Some have suffered violence or dropped out of school early, and see digital technology as a concrete lever for regaining control of their lives.
